The introduction of Social Media to humanity has caused significant changes. From being an almost endless expanse to becoming a global village, the world has been connected in many unimaginable ways. Many individuals and businesses from remote parts of the earth can now communicate, interact and sell o anyone with access to the internet.
With the advancement of technology, the tools for socializing are becoming more advance and life-like. One can now be connected to a virtual space and interact as though it is reality.
The power that these technologies bestow on a person can only be imagined. With so much possibilities, what securities are in place to ensure that these tools are secured from users with malicious intent? It is said that “with much power comes much responsibilities” but in our everyday life, we see a lot of irresponsible persons who will not as much as take care of themselves or their environment.
Another concern is the abuse of trust and scams. As a global village, it is assumed that every user is authenticated and therefore real. It is however saddening that many users choose to prey on this trust and cause a loss to others.

Should the use of social media be restricted? Does one need to earn a certificate of Social Etiquette before he or she will be allowed to use these tools? Is Social Media a curse or a blessing?
